RITUALS & HABITS

Pour. Turn. Begin.

The small tools we actually use to stop running our days on autopilot.

THE PRACTICES

Six small tools for your hours.

Two of these are yours to keep. The rest live in the Compass, our members' field guide.

The First Hour Ritual: Pour. Turn. Begin.

A small, repeatable way to walk into your day on purpose instead of falling into it. Pour something. Turn toward the day instead of reaching for your phone first. Begin, however small that beginning is.

Try this:

Tomorrow, before you touch your phone, pour whatever you pour and just sit with it for ten seconds first.

Give An Hour

Once you've started noticing your own hours, the next question is what happens when you spend one on someone else. Roughly an hour of actually showing up for a person, not a stopwatch, just real attention.

Try this:

Think of one person who could use an hour of you this week. Then give it to them.
